What is a Tennis Ladder?
The main goal is that Shanghai tennis players can have a dynamic, interactive and easy-to-use website to find other members and arrange a tennis match.
A tennis ladder is an informal way for local tennis enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to meet and play matches with other similarly-skilled players at mutually convenient times and locations.

We rank players according to their estimated level (beginner, intermediate, competitive)  knowing that they will start from the lowest rank of this level, in term of points.
Once ranked, players are allowed to challenge the player located either one, two or three ranking above or under them on the ladder.

How to set up a match? EASY!
Step 1: choose a player to challenge and double-click on his name to open his profile box.
Step 2: click on "Challenge this player" and fill in the "Set-up a match" fields
An email will be automatically sent to the challenged player with these informations and your contact details. The challenged player can either accept or deny the challenge. Once accepted THE CHALLENGE IS ON!

Matches reports: EASY!
The winner has to report the match scores directly on the ladder, either following a link sent in the email notifying that the challenge has been accepted, or clicking on the pending challenge displayed on its own profile and on game results.  Name of players, date and location of the match, winner and score is the required information. An email will be sent to the defeated player and once the score approved, ranking and points will be automatically updated.
